The DDRC is running a 1 day practical course specifically for recreational divers.
Course available on only 2 dates in 2012:
- Saturday 17th March 2012
- Sunday 18th March 2012
The course includes a 40m chamber dive* and tour of the DDRC Facility including an orientation to the DDRC recompression chambers.
Practical Training includes Basic Life Support (BLS) with an emphasis on the diving casualty, Oxygen Administration and 5 minute Neurological Examination.
Lectures from the Coastguard on Emergencies at Sea, from DDRC on Decompression Illness - Recognising it, Fixing it, Avoiding it and Diving accidents - Case Studies.
Speakers include Director of DDRC, DDRC Senior Diving and Hyperbaric Doctors, Falmouth Coastguard and DDRC Training Team.
